Presented by Miriam Höller (stunt woman, car expert and presenter of the GRIP magazine) and Robin Schmid (influencer, youtuber and moderator), the winners were celebrated on October 11 at the award ceremony in the Classic Remise in Berlin. RYTLE’s goal: to revolutionize transportation in the last mile through an integrated hardware and software logistics solution. Part of the solution are MovR (electric cargo bike), BOX, HUB and an IT solution. This standardized product mix is successfully used in various European cities. Feedback: Productivity increase of up to 50% and significant cost savings.

Solmove develops smart solar roads that generate electricity from sunlight, swallow sound, degrade nitrogen oxides, defrost ice in winter, and supply electric vehicles with electric vehicles. The “VOLTSTREET” concept supports the energy and transport change. E-mobility becomes sustainable and comfortable. The new road surface comes in October for the first time on the road.

Clare Jones – CCO, WHAT3WORDS

With the development of the first language-based address system, Clare Jones has accelerated the establishment of new mobility concepts with startup What3Words. The entrepreneurial spirit and the firm will to tackle a problem are particularly impressive – namely, that 75% of people worldwide have no address. Clare Jones has already achieved incredible things with the first states that accept What3Words as the official address system and some automakers who have integrated it into their navigation systems.

MotionTag creates seamless, sustainable and intelligent mobility networks through user-centric transport system design. It allows the user access to public transport by smartphone, without having to know the fare zones, knowing which ticket is the cheapest for the day or need change.

FINALIST – Athlon/Benify 

Our mobility behavior is changing at breakneck speed. Flexibility is the order of the day for companies that want to withstand this speed and offer their employees a future-proof mobility concept. And that is exactly what “My Benefit Kit” makes possible as a portal & app. My Benefit Kit is unique in that it brings together its own and supplier-independent benefits in one place. Thus, it provides needs-based mobility services for employees and at the same time reduces the administrative burden of the HR department.

FINALIST – Ubitricity

Charging e-vehicles with energy from renewable resources wherever they park was the goal of establishing ubitricity. The heart of the solution: the mobile electricity meter, which shifts all counting and billing technology from the charging point to the charging cable. Charging points are so compact that they can be installed almost anywhere – even integrated in street lights.

Immediately do something against the traffic load and at the same time act sustainably. The marketplace Cabpoker fights up to 50,000 taxis and reduces their empty kilometers. By a simple online tendering platform, drivers or service contracts can be advertised by anyone anywhere in Germany and are served directly by taxis – where legally permissible – at special rates.

The electric rollator ello is the extension of well-proven rollators with an electric drive and an intelligent control system for significantly increasing the mobility and safety of elderly people.

e-troFit Bus -Environmentally friendly, economical and efficient: the mobility of the future is electric. With the e-troFit concept, in-tech offers a conversion solution from existing diesel vehicles to electric drive – a quick and cost-effective entry into electromobility. The useful life of existing vehicles will be extended while emissions and operating costs will be reduced.

FINALIST – MDT-tex

The submission of MDT underlines the design and production of a highly aesthetic and functional shading solution for electric vehicles. The functions of solar energy and rainwater use promote the development of innovative and environmentally conscious products.

S O NAH is building a sensor platform that solves data-driven mobility and infrastructure problems in the Smart City. We digitize the road space with our sensors and can, for example, solve the parking problem, reduce the energy consumption of lanterns and provide real-time information on the current traffic situation. We see ourselves as a platform on which other companies can also offer their expertise, thereby increasing added value.

FINALIST – YPTOKEY

YPTOKEY has developed a solution for decentralized digital access, putting it at the center of vehicles & locks, mobile devices and distributed networks. Users experience greater comfort and flexibility as their own identity figuratively becomes the key to vehicles. In addition, companies can more easily integrate their mobility-related services and make them more user-friendly.

The Jury Session

In August 2018 the jury meeting took place at the Handelsblatt Media Group publishing house. There, the jury selected the best projects from a variety of high-quality applications to name the winners in the categories Driving Disruption, Connecting People, Inspiring Innovation and Visionary Reality.
